I want to thank all those who have took the time to talk with me. I missed a few comments on the other blog so this blog is to keep track of people who want to reach out to me and Denise. If you want to comment on or ask questions about the NDE please feel free to either post here or at my cancer blog, Facebook, email or phone. I cannot express how much it means to me to talk with others and what it means to me to know that God not only helped me to change but that in the process He used this event to touch other people. Thank you each and every one.
Your story truly inspired me. I am a beliver and know that my eternal destination is heaven. I had a cousin that was killed in an accident when I was a young teenager. I remember my aunt taking comfort in a scripture that talks about angels carrying us to heaven when we die. I just thank God that no matter how we end up going that there is hope that the trip there is peaceful even if it's a blink of the eye. It is amazing to me that there is no real concept of time once your spirit leaves your body. Anyway, thank you for sharing your story.
ReplyDeleteThank you for watching it and reaching out to let me know you connected and was touched by it. It's so funny that I had lived my life on time, something I thought was universal. I even remember old saying about it's all in God's time, yet His time is endless. No beginning and no end. Nothing like I could have imagined. I used to say that I wanted to go to Heaven yet I know now that wherever God is, and He is everywhere, that location doesn't matter, for Heaven is just being near Him. Have faith that the trip is quick and the destination is more than words can describe. In the Blink of an eye.
ReplyDeleteI was reading one of the other posts about whether or not Jesus is the only way. If you think about it, it makes sense that He is. He is the only One who has the answer for our sin. Some religions teach that good deeds and living a good life will get you to heaven, but no one can live a life sin free. It is impossible. I choose Jesus Christ.....He paid a high price for my salvation and my home with Him.
ReplyDeleteWell I actually agree with you as far as He is the only way that, I see too. This is just my thoughts from what I've read and thought about. One cannot earn their way into Heaven because we all do wrong, and wrong is wrong. So we have faith in Jesus, who has paid the price for our wrongs. We believe that He will make up the difference and through His sacrifice that we are granted Grace our wrongs are forgiven.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with once saved always saved for if that were the case even Agnostics would get saved and baptized. That would make it nothing more than a get out of Hell free card. So I truly believe it takes both. Faith and showing that faith and acceptance of Jesus. As a reference 1 John Chapters 1 & 2. And this one I think says the faith part, John 14:16.
Yeah Anthony it seems there are a lot of people who get "fire insurance" but never have a real relationship with Him. I grew up believing once saved always saved. I truly have mixed emotions about it. I do have to question if someone is trying to get their get out of hell card if they are genuinely seeking a relationship with Christ in the first place. I don't know, sticky subject. :) I was thinking about something after watching the program. I think I have seen all the different shows. Do you think everyone whether they are a believer or not can experience the presence of God when they have a NDE? I heard one guy's story about how he went to hell first then experienced the presence of God. The way he talked it sounded like he was a believer. Do the producers tell ya'll to limit what you say based on your faith on the show?
ReplyDeleteWell, I had a lot typed in but it didn't save, must not have been meant. I love the term "fire insurance", I think that happens a lot. Then I think organized religion is responsible for some. Then also, where would you find Satan? Infiltrating the church. So I'm not going to judge why some are like that but I can certainly see why people become Atheists and Agnostics. Nothing like seeing a fish symbol on a care that cuts you off and flips a bird with Jesus saves on the bumper sticker.:). I think that to ones who mush is given much is expected. I wonder if through our actions it works the same way. To those who take much much is taken. Not for me to say though.
ReplyDeleteI think we all stand before God and looking at what the Bible says about much is given then I have no idea. I don't know what He gives to whom and what He expects from whom. I look at that like Matthew 7:3. The ones that experienced Hell are certainly changed. Maybe they are sent back to warn us. For those, I'm just glad they got out of there. I don't think God is there waiting to damn anybody.
As for the show. Chris, Alex, and Supryia asked for nothing except the truth in our own words. Denise's interview was for about 3 hours and mine was 5 1/2 hours. Given the honesty of the ones that interviewed us, I had faith in the ones that edited. Funny, we didn't know what the other said during the interviews. we were interviewed separately.
What you don't see is Chris setting in front of me. Before the interview started, his first words were to tell what I experienced in my own words. I felt like I was talking one on one. If anything, given the push of Satan on the TV and movies these days, I think the Bio Channel show needs to be applauded. This wasn't "Reality TV" it was honest TV for a change. In a world that is spoon fed evil and the Devil, I commend them for allowing the truth.
Hi Anthony,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you got this other site up and running...very fast. I still feel like it somehow needs to be divided into categories, but I have no ideas as to how to do it ! :o) Most people may take the time to read everything, but it would be nice to have different questions as categories and then link each comment question and answer there. For example, Is Jesus the only way to Heaven? How long were you "dead"?, etc. Does that make sense? Seems like too much work for me and, at this time, maybe you too! :o)
I am just so glad I saw your show and was able to touch bases with you. I'll keep checking in from time to time and please know that I will be keeping you and Denise in my thoughts and prayers...all good and loving !
Fondly, Lori
That's a good idea Lori. I have wondered how it could be better and more organized. If tomorrow's weather is bad I think I'll do that. Why this didn't cross my mind I have no idea. I can design a forum and having posts that reflect different topics would be like creating a board. Thanks for that. Thanks also for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Anthony
